Our school was having a celebration for Canada's birthday. This photo was taken while the whole school participated, including me in the Terry Fox walk to raise money for cancer research. I chose this photo because I really like the weight of this picture and also the angle that the photo was shot at, this angle shows the never ending line of students walking for Terry's dream. It just shows how many people still believe and support Terry's wonderful dream after all these years. St.Joe's has so many great people and one thing that makes them great is taking part in walk. |
After having a great walk everyone went back to school for Canada's 150 birthday we had a lot of school sprite, almost everyone wore red and white to celebrate Canada's birthday. This photo was chosen because this picture has good exposure and a fast shutter speed that allowed me to capture the flag clearly. I like how this picture shows how proud our school is to be Canadian! |
This photo was taken while our school was participating in one of the many activities that were held during the celebration of Canada's 150th birthday. I have chosen this photo because I like how you can see the falling action like time has been frozen, and on the left everyone putting all their strength into pulling. Looking at this photo it makes me laugh looking at each persons facial expressions. |
Thanksgiving, most celebrate by having a big dinner with their family, but unfortunately I didn't get to do that this weekend because I celebrate American thanksgiving. Instead of a big dinner we spent some quality family time together, this is Jayda at the greenhouse we visited. I have chosen this photo because I like how the lines of the ceiling are guiding the focus to Jayda, and then to all the crops. I also think that all the colors in this photo go really nice together. This photo shows just how happy you can be as long as you are with your family. |
After having a great time at the green house we went apple picking, but before we got to the apples there were a bunch of stores that were selling a bunch of stuff like baked goods, hot-dogs, fruit, vegetables, and much more. Jasmyne being as photogenic as she is, she was posing with almost every weird fruit and vegetable she found. Besides the fact that Jasmyne's face is great in this photo I have picked this photo because I like the lighting, it isn't over nor under exposed it's just right. I also enjoy the way Jasmyne's grey shirt makes her pop out in front of the red bin. We enjoyed all the interesting things we have found at the stores and had a lot of fun. |
At apple picking there we many activities besides the stores, there was a small park inside a barn, or as Jasmyne calls it "the barn park". After a long time of Jasmyne running around in "the barn park" she wanted to show off her guns, and show me how strong she is by holding a consent position for a long time on the monkey-bars. After I timed Jasmyne, Jayda challenged Jasmyne to see who could hold their position the longest. I have chosen this photo because I like the angle this photo was taken on, the way you and see the starting of the monkey-bars but not the end. Another reason I like this photo because Jayda and Jasmyne both pop out due to the bright painted wall. Altogether we had a great thanksgiving even though it wasn't a traditional one, to celebrate thanks giving all you need is somthing to be thankful for and I'm thankful for my family. |
This assignment was to capture shadows, sadly during this assignment the sun had decided to hide behind the clouds so there was no sun to cast shadows. I went to plan b, knowing how much my sister Jasmyne loves to get her picture taken I asked her for a helping hand. Because it was to cloudy outside I used a lamp to create the shadows then I realized using two lamps causes shadows, I thought that adding another shadow would make the photo even better. I also really like the difference in contrast. All and all I thing Jasmyne is really cute in this photo. |
This is another photo of my lovely little sister Jasmyne, but this time we brought my cat Peanut into the picture. In this photo I really like how the color of Jasmyne's flower crown, jean jacket and colorful minion leggings all complement each other, I really like how Peanuts eyes stand out in the photo. I have chosen this photo because I think that Jasmyne's shadow in this photo is very noticeable which is really nice, and the motive of this assignment. |
This final photo is of my cat Peanut, this photo I have chosen show a clear display of Peanuts shadow which is why I have chosen it. In this photo I also really like the bright yellow colour of my cats eyes popping in this photo. I also think that this photo has really good weight, the weight and angle of this photo allows you to see much more of the shadow and Peanut in this photo. |
For this shooting assignment I had to capture the beautiful season autumn, of course for me the first thing that comes to mind is the colourful autumn leafs that have fallen off the trees. For me the coloruful leafs are my favorite thing about fall besides Halloween, I have chosen this photo because I really like the earthy colour plate and clarity, its really cool how you can see the texture of the leaf and the grass. It looks like if I were to touch the photo I would be able to feel the texture of the leaf. |
Me as a person I always really liked nature and that is another thing that comes to mind when I think about autumn, pulse I really really like that tree my neighbor has. I have chosen this photo because I like the guide line that the house provides that points right at the big tree, the wight of this photo I like because it leaves some empty space witch draws your eyes towards the tree that is the main focus. |
This photo was taken when I was at my mema's house, my family and I went to Chatham to visit her, I picked this photo because these colours are the type of colours that come to mind when I think about autumn. The exposure in this photo is perfect, and I also think the weight of this photo is complementing the focus on the couch with the wonderful autumn colours. |
For Halloween my sister Jayda dressed up as a zombie lumberjack, it was really cool the way she did her makeup to look like her skin was cut open. I chose this photo because I like how it looks like my sister Jayda is coming for the person behind the camera (me), an it also looks like shes coming for the viewer of the photo. I like how the clarity is strong, the strong clarity allows you to see every detail and the texture of everything. I like how the exposure has a small amount of light but at great amount of darkness so the photo really puts gives you an uneasy feeling when you look at it. |
This Halloween unfortunately my family and I didn't get to carve pumpkins, but that doesn't mean that they aren't one of my favorite parts about Halloween. I chose this photo because I like how this photo kinda has a vanishing point, it looks like its never gonna end. I like how high the clarity is, you can see every bump and grove that is on the pumpkins. I like how the clarity and dark exposure work together to give off a scary vibe |
I also really love this photo of my sister Jayda, I think she really looks scary in this one. I like the motion blur that is in this photo it feels like you can see the fear in the person taking the photo (me), its like they are shaking or trying to get away from the monster. I like how vibrant the colours of her cloths are, because of the vibrant colours and the light brick wall Jayda really stands out in this picture. |
I like this photo Because the set up of the shoes are like something you would see in a magazine in which is the goal of this shooting assignment, The brightness of the white on the shoes makes the dark colour shoe pop out more. The same thing with the yellow on the shoe, I made the yellow brighter to attract the eye towards Batman. |
